Does the slot Stop button change the result? Know which control you pressed
Stop, Stop Auto, and Quickspin can do different jobs. Use documented examples to separate a shorter reveal from ending an automatic session or choosing bonus rules.
In this article
In the rule examples below, stopping the current reel animation does not change its result. Ending autoplay is a different action: it stops later automatic rounds. Quickspin changes reveal speed in the help example that documents it. Identify the control and the active mode before applying any of those answers to your screen.
This is a document-based guide for adult readers, not a button-timing strategy. The Danish operator help pages and Everi’s Pennsylvania rule page do not establish which controls are available in a current U.S. mobile installation. No game was played for this comparison.
Does pressing Stop change where the symbols land?
For the version described in Dragon’s Temple help, How To Play explicitly separates shortening the ongoing round from changing its outcome. The documented STOP control does the former, not the latter.
That answers a specific control question. It does not establish the exact instant every slot samples random numbers, or prove that every button in every feature is cosmetic. For the broader distinction between selection, rules, and display, see our RNG evidence guide.
A name can also mislead. In Everi’s Pennsylvania Press Your Luck Whammy Wilds rules, the Press Your Luck Bonus uses PLAY to stop its spinning bonus reels. That section says stopping them cannot influence the bonus result. The control’s job comes from that mode’s instructions, rather than from the word PLAY alone.
Does Stop also turn off autoplay?
Do not treat a faster reveal as confirmation that automatic play has ended. AutoPlay Feature in the Dragon’s Temple document distinguishes STOP during the round from STOP AUTO, which ends the sequence before the next round. Its Rules section also limits autoplay availability to approved jurisdictions; the page is not evidence that your location offers it.
Here is an invented control trace, not a client observation. Suppose 10 rounds were planned, round 4 has started, and a stop-session command is accepted before round 5 begins. Assume no other automatic stopping condition intervenes:
| Action | Round 4 | Rounds 5–10 |
|---|---|---|
| Reveal Stop only | Shorter reveal | Still planned |
| Stop-session command | Already started | Do not start |
In this example, six later rounds (10 − 4 = 6) remain unstarted. Ending their sequence is not the same as undoing round 4. Do not infer a canceled wager, a refund, or a changed result merely because a button changed appearance.
What does Quickspin actually change?
The Game Controls section of Stellar Portals help describes Quickspin as faster resolution without influencing the spin result. It separately lists Stop for the current spin and Autoplay stop for the automatic session. The same page warns that some settings or features may be unavailable.
Use that as a way to classify a documented control, not as a recommendation to speed up play. Seeing the next result sooner does not, by itself, show a different prize rule or an improvement in your chances. A speed setting is not a substitute for checking the wager and the active feature.
Can a bonus choice still matter?
Yes: choosing rules and shortening their presentation are different tasks. Dragon’s Temple’s Scatter/Free Spins Bonus describes three alternatives with different spin counts and wild-reel arrangements. That choice is distinct from its subsequent STOP action. These are that help page’s options, not a claim about a current U.S. version or about which option is better.
Read an offered choice’s actual effect rather than extending a statement about STOP to every interaction. Our paytable guide explains how to identify the rule and payout basis that a choice uses.
A short check when the button is unclear
Before pressing again, identify:
- Mode: base round, bonus, or automatic session.
- Action: start a round, shorten its display, end later rounds, or select rules.
- Evidence: the matching Help entry, including any availability limits.
- Record: the displayed result or round history if you need to query a completed transaction.
If the Help does not explain a control, leave its effect unresolved and use the operator’s support process. Button timing or repeated taps do not supply the missing documentation.
